Born in Greenwood County, she was the daughter of Roy Edward Crooms of Anderson and Samantha Ann Kerr Mckinney of Hodges.

Surviving besides her mother and father are; two daughters; Carlianne Crooms of Summerville and Adrianna Crooms of Phoenix. AZ, and one brother; Robbie Coker of Donalds.

She was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed by Window World.
