Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late James and Frances Bagwell Howard. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and a homemaker.

 Surviving are: two sons, Tony Walker and wife Leslie, and Michael Jones and fiancé Haley McMahan, all of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Tonya W. Massey and husband Bruce of Ware Shoals, a grandson raised in the home, Anthony Jones, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Connie.

 Graveside services will be at 4PM Wednesday September 12, 2012 at Columbia Baptist Church cemetery with Bishop Ray Boggs officiating.
