Jearllean Scott

Belton – Jearllean Ballard Scott, 78, widow of Richard Fowler Scott, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at 424 Glenwood St.

 

Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Raymond and Belulah Smith Ballard. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and had worked at Honea Path Shirtmakers and Oxford Shirt Plant.

Surviving are a son, Danny Richard Scott of Easley, three daughters, Cindy Scott Newton and Kim Scott Callaham, both of Belton, and Robin Alexander of Anderson, a brother, Stanley Ballard of Honea Path, three sisters, Betty Gwinn of Princeton, Clara Ann Fleming of Honea Path, and Margaret Duncan of Greenville, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also survived by several special friends, Nancy Hanley, Frances Gambrell, Marylyn Mauldin, Ann and Fred Willard, and Juanite Jones..

Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Columbia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Plemmons and Rev. Andy Hall officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The family is at the home of her daughter, Cindy Newton, 424 Glenwood St., Belton.
