Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Joe Daniels and Marguerite Poulos Daniels Rhinehart. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father, Dennis Rhinehart of Taylors are: his wife, Amanda Arsenault Daniels of Ware Shoals, a son, Hunter Joseph Daniels of Ware Shoals, three daughters, Kayleigh Daniels of Ware Shoals, Taylor Daniels of Taylors, and Samantha Daniels of Easley, and two brothers, Michael Daniels of Taylors and Chris Daniels of Delaware.

Memorial services will be held at 5PM Sunday October 14, 2012 at the Lake Rabon Access Area with Rev. Tony Crouch officiating.
