Estelle K. McMahan

Ware Shoals- Estelle Kay McMahan, 90, beloved wife of Clarence H. “Mac” McMahan for seventy years, of 20 West Main St, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Born in Antreville, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Hattie Speer Kay. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was also Chairman of the Women’s Circle, a Hebron Bible Class member, and a Den mother.

Surviving in addition to the husband of the home are, two sons, Michael E. McMahan of Ware Shoals, and Marion W. McMahan and wife Shirley of Greenwood, a daughter, Kay McCoy and husband Keith of Fort Mill, a sister, Agnes K. Martin of Anderson, four grandchildren, Karen and Julie McMahan, Cortney and Joshua McCoy, and three great-grandchildren, Kayci and Anna Chrisley, and Eagan McCoy.

She was predeceased by one sister, Evelyn Gambrell.

Funeral services will be conducted at First Presbyterian Church at 2PM on Friday, October 26, 2012, with Rev. Frank Cunningham III and Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-2PM prior to the service at the church. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 542.
