Wilma Cooley

Honea Path – Wilma Alice Hudson Cooley, 87, widow of the late James W. Cooley, Sr., resident of The Maples, died Thursday October 25, 2012 at AnMed Health Center.

She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and a former member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley. She was retired from Anderson County School District #2, where she was a school teacher. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Educators Sorority. She was an avid reader, loved playing Bridge and was a devout Clemson Tiger Fan.

Surviving are: one son, Jimmy Cooley and wife Debbie of Anderson; one daughter, Ann Campbell of Belton; one brother, Wayne Hudson and wife Gloria of Anderson; four grandchildren, Adam and Lindsey Cooley, both raised in the home, and Lauren and Megan Cooley. She was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Sunday October 28, 2012 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Olsen and Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1:30 – 3PM Sunday at the church, prior to the service.
