Surviving in addition to his beloved and devoted wife of 57 years are: one son, Bobby Joe Spence, Jr. and wife Faye of Plymouth, N.C.; five daughters, Dwanna Barber and husband Thomas of Honea Path, Kathy Whitley and husband Andy of Wendell, N.C., Charlena Spence of Torrance, CA., Suzanne Spence and husband Jody McEachern of Torrance, CA., and Deanne Phillips and husband Keith of Brentwood, CA.; thirteen grandchildren, Eddie Barber, Tonya Barber Lyerly, Kelli Barber Chapman, Alicia Spence Biggs, Michele Fitzgerald, Randall Fitzgerald, Brianna Ferraro, Brittani Ferraro, Teddy Spence Whitley, Hannah Whitley, Hunter Whitley, Lee Sasser, and Waylon Warren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
