Joe Murdock
Honea Path – Joe Marion Murdock, 76 of 3004 Due West Hwy., husband of Betty Ashley Murdock, died Saturday at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Carl and Eunice Fisher Murdock. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and the Centre Lodge #37. He was retired from Duke Power.
Surviving are his wife of the home, one daughter; Rhonda Lloyd and husband Mickey of Anderson, grandson; Shane Lloyd and wife Angie of Belton and two great-grandchildren; Mason Lloyd and Chelsea Lloyd. He was predeceased by two brothers; Van and Jack Murdock.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Culbertson, Rev. Landrum Reece and Mr. Ricky Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2603 Due West Hwy., Belton, SC 29627.
