Margaret Vaughn

Honea Path – Margaret Louise Smith Vaughn, 93 of 72 Rock Springs School Road, widow of Walter Erskine Vaughn, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at NHC of Anderson.

 

Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Phillips Smith. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co.

Surviving are one son; Douglas Vaughn and wife Linda of Honea Path, three grandchildren, Dee Dee and Tim Caldwell and Chris Vaughn, and one great-grandchild, William Hanks Vaughn, son of Chris and Kathryn Vaughn, and a beloved niece and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Caldwell, four brothers, Eulys, Ben, John and Matthew Smith, three sisters, Emma Stacks, Lula Mae and Edith Smith, and a great-grandchild, Russell Caldwell, son of Dee Dee Caldwell.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Monday, December 10, 2012 at Shady Grove Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Darrell Hawthorne officiating.

The family is at the home of her son, 100 Murray Ave., and will receive friends from 1-2 PM Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
