Addie Gunnells

Honea Path – Addie Lee Stephens Gunnells, 78, of 5 Griffin Farm Road, widow of William Paskel “Pete” Gunnells, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Anmed Health Center.

 

 

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Nancy Jane Stephens. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and The Mt. Bethel Happy Agers.  She was a volunteer with Hospice of the Upstate and was retired from Wellington Mills.Surviving are two step-sons, William Franklin Gunnells of Honea Path and Ronnie Dale Gunnells and wife Janice of Anderson; one step-daughter, Becky Watson of Belton; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; special cousins, James J.C. Stephens and wife Ann and Catherine Stephens.  She was predeceased by a brother, Furman Stephens and a sister Catherine Stephens.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Culbertson and Rev. Eddie Mattison officiating.  Burial will follow in Neals Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2:30 at Pruitt Funeral Home.
