Jimmy Timms

Hodges – James Melvin Timms, Jr., 55, of 1724 Nation Rd, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his home.

 

Born in Greenwood County he was a son of Alice Maureen Bagwell Timms and the late James Melvin Timms, Sr. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and was employed at Sound Systems & More. He loved music and playing the guitar.

Surviving in addition to his mother of the home are: a son, James Melvin Timms, III of Myrtle Beach, and a brother, Kenneth Timms of the home. He was predeceased by a son, Lowell Jordan Timms.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday from 1-2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice. Parker-White-Pruitt Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements.
