Hazel Smith

Honea Path – Mrs. Hazel Elizabeth “Libbo” Kerr Smith, 81, of 10 Lee Street, widow of Claude A. “Cotton” Smith, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late William B. and Rosa Belle Callaham Kerr. She was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from Chiquola Manufacturing.

Surviving are two sons, Johnny R. Smith and wife Debbie and Rev. Dr. Tony R. Smith and wife Connie all of Belton; four grandchildren, Jody Smith, Jason Smith, Tonya Smith and Hannah Smith and one great-grandchild, Ava Taylor Smith. She was predeceased by a sister; Lillie Gilmer.

Funeral Services will be held at 3PM Sunday at Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ted Coody, Rev. Boyd King and Rev. Drew Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
