Ansel Alewine

 

Honea Path – Paul Ansel Alewine, 84, husband of Betty Campbell Alewine, of 107 Johnson Rd, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.

 

 

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Crayton and Hannaha Vaughn Alewine. He was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army Reserves. He was retired from Bonet Mill in Laurens.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: five sons, Bill Ashley, Danny (Paula) Ashley, Freddy (Stacey) Ashley, Bill (Shelia) Alewine, and Bruce (Annette) Alewine, three daughters, Judy Daniel (Tom) Elbertson, Sue (Tim) Medline, and Patsy Minor, one sister, Pauline McCall, 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, five brothers, and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
