Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Floyd Oliver and Lula Belle Roberts McCoy. He was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church. He retired from BASF, where he worked as a production supervisor, and was a photographer. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.

Surviving are two sons; Randall Keith McCoy and wife Kay of Ft. Mill and Stephen Carroll McCoy of Ware Shoals, two daughters; Carla Weathersbee and husband Michael of Ware Shoals and Joan Prince Pace of Ware Shoals, five sisters, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Ware Shoals Cemetery.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Carla Weathersbee, 27 Green Acres Dr. Ware Shoals, SC 29692, and will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Parker-White Funeral Home.
