Frank Chapman

Ware Shoals – Franklin Milton Chapman, 80, widower of Willie Grace Abercrombie Chapman, of 11200 Indian Mound Rd, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was also formerly married to Joann Rochester Chapman.

 

 

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Clifton and Mary Livingston Chapman. He attended Hodges Church of God and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Brewington Lodge # 183 A.F.M. He formerly worked at Riegel Textile Corp. and was retired from Laurens County.

Surviving are: a son, Roger Chapman and wife Norma of Greenwood, two daughters, Donna Hendrix and husband Sam, and Patty Madden and husband Dennis all of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Marvin Chapman and wife Martha, and Clarence “Bud” Chapman and wife Sarah, a sister, Pauline Abrams all of Ware Shoals, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Hodges Church of God with Rev. Charles Caldwell, Rev. Earl Quick, and Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday from 1:30 – 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Parker-White-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
