Lillie Collins

Wellford – Lillie Mae McMahan Cox Collins, 59, widow of Thomas Collins, of 116 Broad St., died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her home.

Born in Toccoa, GA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Eugene Elliott McMahan. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was a volunteer with The National & Community Volunteers, where she had previously been awarded The President’s Service Award. She was twice married, first to the late Charles Gary Collins.

Surviving are: three daughters, Melena Vazquez and husband Jesus of the home, Robin Gonzalez of Inman, and Sharon Cox of Wellford, three brothers, Clarence McMahan, Jr. and wife Margie of Landrum, Lewis McMahan and wife Joyce of Honea Path, and David McMahan of Greenwood, a sister, Barbara Troyer and husband Randy of Due West, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry McMahan.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church cemetery with Mr. Randy Troyer officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home.
