Donald Columbia

Tabernash, CO – Donald Lyle Columbia, 80, widower of Betty Holcombe Columbia, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Kremmling Hospital in Colorado.

Born in Canon City, CO. he was a son of the late Dana Lyle and Stella Perkens Columbia. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a logger. He loved life in Colorado, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was very independent.

Surviving are: a son, Leroy Columbia of CO, two stepsons, Daniel McAuiliff of Ware Shoals, and Merle Speer of CO, three daughters, Carolyn Mirabelli of NE, Sherry Columbia-Searls and husband David of CA, and Karen Mirabelli of CA, a brother, Bob Columbia of MI, three stepdaughters, Connie Johnson and husband Dana and Kathy Johnson and husband Dennis, and Karen Speer, all of CO, seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers and a stepson.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Ware Shoals cemetery, Ware Shoals, SC.
