Eddie Rutledge

Honea Path – James Ellison “Eddie” Rutledge, Jr., 64, widower of Debra Graham Rutledge, of 204 Judson Way, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James Ellison and Barbara Campbell Rutledge, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and was a truck driver for 41 years.

Surviving are: a son, Kent Rutledge of Honea Path, two stepsons, Greg Williamson of Anderson and Carey Williamson of Williamston, two daughters, Dana Lee Rutledge of Honea Path and Melissa Ann Rutledge of Williamston, a brother, Jessie Rutledge and wife Rhonda of Belton, two sisters, Erlene James and husband Joe and Deborah “Rutt” Gilmer and husband Jackie, all of Honea Path, and a grandchild, Kaleb Rutledge. He was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Dawn Rutledge.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at Garden of Memories with Mr. Sammy McClain and Rev. Paul Cooper officiating.

The family is at the home of his son, 687 Hwy 178, Honea Path, and will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Eddie Rutledge Fund, PO Box 266, Honea Path, SC 29654. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
