Dorothy “Dot” Lawter McClellan

Dorothy “Dot” Lawter McClellan, 91, widow of Robert “Bob” McClellan, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens.

Born in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Claude O’Dell and Inez O’Sullivan Lawter. She was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Co.

Surviving are a son, C.W. McClellan and wife Vivian of Ware Shoals, a sister, Marion Robinett of Aiken, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Dennana McClellan Gates.

Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Leon Jones officiating.

The family are at their respective homes and will receive friends following the graveside service. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church  or to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or to the charity of one’s choice.
