Ware Shoals – Doris Mae Paige Lindley, 89, formerly of 28 N. Greenwood Ave. Ext., widow of Richard O’dell Lindley, died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Edgefield.
Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Capers and Eula Darby Paige. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church where she taught the 2 and 3 year-old Sunday School class. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation, where she worked as a supply clerk in the finishing room.
Surviving are one daughter: Jan L. Womble and husband Bill of Greenwood; one sister: Tommie Martin of Greenwood; and one step-grandson: Will Taylor and wife Alison of Mt. Pleasant.
She was predeceased by two brothers: Horace and Leon Paige.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Wednesday, July 17, at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649.
