Shirley Burnett

Summerville – Shirley Anderson Burnett, 78, widow of Oscar Burnett, Jr., formerly of Ware Shoals, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013.

Born in Greenwood County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances Coleman Anderson. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

Surviving are: a daughter-in-law Jennifer Burnett of Summerville, four grandchildren, Joshua Carlton Burnett (Erin), Logan Caryle Burnett (Anna Marie), Cody Jack Pace, and Sammie Jo Driggers, and a great-grandchild, Cooper Otto Burnett.

She was predeceased by a son, Carlton Lyle Burnett, a daughter, Vivian Elaine Pace, and two grandchildren, Justin Lee and Little John Turner.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to the Shirley Burnett Fund, PO Box 242, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
