Mildred Schumpert

Honea Path – Mildred Evelyn Ferguson Schumpert, 93, widow of John Robert Schumpert, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013.

 

 

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late J.D. and Maybelle Davis Ferguson. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was retired from
Riegel Textile Co.

She was the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are a special niece, Jay Knight; Nephews, Terry Keahey (Gail) of Belton, Jack Keahey (Amy) of Clayton, Ga.; a niece, Carolyn Fowler (Don) of Clemson, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Frances Keahey, a brother, Gorden Ferguson, a niece, Brenda Ratliff and a nephew, Andy Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Slatten and Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating. Private burial will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a niece, Jay Knight, 207 Brook St. and will recieve friends from 1-2 P.M. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
