James Risner

Honea Path – James Walker Risner, 91, husband of Marie Smith Risner, of 302 Green Street, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home.

 

 

Born in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late C.L. and Annie Thrasher Risner. He attended Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church, retired from Chiquola Manufacturing, and was a retired self employed plumber.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 70 years of the home are: three daughters, Rebecca Phillips (Robert) of Honea Path, Bobbie Jo Ashley (Roger) of Honea Path, and Judy Wood (Jeff) of Greenwood, and a sister, Jean White (Boyd) of Anderson, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by an infant son, two sisters, Myrte Ramey and Jodie Smith, and a granddaughter, Traci Magaha.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Bryan, Rev. Ted Coody and Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Hospice Care of SC, P.O.
