Nellie Phillips

Honea Path – Nellie Mae Ables Phillips, 90, widow of Bob Phillips, of 103 Tribble St., died Friday, November 29, 2013.

 

 

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Cleo Davis Ables. She was a member of Honea Path Church of God, retired from Blair Mills and owner of Phillip’s Trailer Park.

Surviving are: a son, David Phillips and wife Eula of Honea Path, two brothers, Leonard Ables and wife Jane and Jimmy Ables and wife Joyce all of Honea Path, two sisters, Mary Brock of Honea Path and Bessie Allen of Greenwood, two grandchildren, Sam Phillips and wife Christa and Rena Phillips, all of Honea Path, and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Lauren Phillips.

She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Ables and three sisters, Gladys Jennings, Grace Caldwell, and Zadie Rowland.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Honea Path Church of God with Rev. Charles Driggers, Rev. George Cooper and Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
