Kathy Gambrell

Honea Path – Kathleen Smith Gambrell, 57, widow of Kenneth Melvin Gambrell, of 190 McCullough School Rd, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 5, 2013.

Born February 1, 1956 in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late George and Donna Reynolds Smith. She was a member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church and retired from Hickory Point. She loved her animals and enjoyed camping.

Surviving are: a son, Jamie Doug Gambrell and wife Angel of Honea Path, a daughter, Janice Vaughn and husband Jimmy of Pelzer, a step-daughter, Sherrie Hilley and husband Joey of Ware Shoals, a brother, Andy Smith and wife Darlene of Williamston, a sister, Clara “Blanche” Smith Lindley and partner Delana of Yulee, FL, four granddaughters, Jacinta, Jordan, and Jensen Vaughn, and Samantha Gambrell, four step-grandsons, Allen and Jamie Wood, and Caridine and Joseph Hilley, four great-grandchildren and special nieces and nephews, Kim Wright, Mandy Gillette, and Donnie Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Mitch Gambrell officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service.
