David “YANK” Crawford

Belton – David William “YANK” Crawford, 87 of 204 Mahaffey Road, died January 2, 2014 at Richard Campbell Veterans Home.

 

 

Born in Beaver Falls, PA, he was a son of the late James Clyde and Evelyn Gould Crawford. He was retired from Owens Corning of Anderson and was a Veteran of the US Army, having served in Germany during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Bear Creek Fox Preserve and the Abbeville Chapter of Rabbits Unlimited and was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are one son; Mike Crawford (Linda) of Burnside, KY, two daughters; Shelly Crawford Youngblood and Martha Helen Thompson (Wayne) both of Elizabethtown, KY and was predeceased by one son; Patrick Crawford. Survived by five brothers; Ben Crawford, Artie Crawford, Aaron Crawford, George Crawford and Charles Crawford; three sisters; Pat Thomas, Mary Catherine Reid and Carol Kalcivic; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother; Clyde James Crawford and sisters; June Sierpotowski and Mildred E. Crawford.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, January 6 at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Father Ignatius Smith officiating.
