Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Holbert Raymond and Alice Page Davis. She was a member of Keowee Baptist Church and owned and operated Lou’s Beauty Salon for over 38 years. She had a passion for the arts and was an accomplished artist. She was a member of The Anderson Artist Guild.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: a daughter, Alice Hawthorne and husband Mike of Donalds, a sister Hazel Ellis of Iva, and a granddaughter, Kelly Smith and husband Joe of Honea Path. She was predeceased by three brothers, ZD, Frank, and RB Davis, and two sisters, Nettie Johnson and Lillie Mae Brock.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Austin Rd Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Slatten and Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church cemetery.
