James W. Alewine

Belton – James Wesley Alewine, husband of Gloria Thomas Alewine, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Wesley and Hazel Brock Alewine. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Duke Energy.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: two daughters, Angel Jefferson and Deana Cox (Johnny Specht), a sister, Brenda Snipes (Gary), five grandchildren, Janna Lawter (Dave), Jessica Mcllwain (Chase), Nick Jefferson (Jill), RJ Ebernickle (Casey), and Blair Hunt (Rodney), seven great-grandchildren, Zack, Dylan, Jonah, Millie, Analise, Thor, and Brayden, and two nieces, Terri Kizer, Allison Trumbull and their families.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Colloms and Rev. David Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
