Faye Saxon Deblaker

Honea Path – Emily Faye Saxon Bowie DeBlaker, 81 of 160 Russell Drive, died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Abbeville Area Medical Center.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late R. L. Saxon and Grace Kay Saxon.  She was twice married, 1st to the late Lucius Maurice Bowie and then to the late Joseph James DeBlaker.  She had worked at Rice Mills for 16 years and retired from Monsanto with 22 years service.  She had attended Broadmouth Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters; Kay Bowie Brock (Tyrone) of Abbeville and Edwina Finch of Lyman, three grandchildren; Tracey Brock Lowe (James) of Abbeville, Tara Finch of Panama and Nicholas Finch of Clemson and one great-great-grandchild; Mary Grace Lowe and 12 special nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by a special friend; Rev. Ted Coody.  She was predeceased by her son; Kenneth Maurice Bowie, brothers; Joe Crane, Hollie R. and R. L. Saxon and sisters; Mary Hampton, Robbie Hannah, Frances Garrison and Virginia Ashley.

Memorial services will be 7 PM Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Belton Rescue Squad, 14515 S. Carolina 20, Belton, SC 29627. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
