William "Red" McClain

Honea Path – William “Red” Ashley McClain, 70, husband of Judith Elaine Dellinger McClain, of 390 Cowan Road, died at his home Friday, April 25, 2014.

 

 

Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of the late William Benson and Rosa Lee Ashley McClain.  He was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church, Past Commander of American Legion Honea Path Post #50 and was a retired Communication Tsgt Specialist with the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are:  two daughters, Joyce Elaine Lawson of Honea Path and Linda Howard of Mead,WA., one sister, Rosemary Moore of Honea Path and four grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son, William Aaron McClain.

Funeral Services will be held at 3PM Sunday, April 27, at the Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Moody officiating.  A private burial will be held at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM prior to the service at the church. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Dwight McNinch Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to the Honea Path First Baptist Church, 100 S. Main Street, Honea Path, SC 29654.  Pruitt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
