Ware Shoals – Karla Ellen Cooper Barbery, wife of David Barbery, of 12664 Highway 25 Business, died Tuesday at Self Regional Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Cleve C. and Lou Ellen Long Cooper. She was retired from Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Karla was a believing Christian, a loving wife, precious sister, aunt, and friend to all. Enjoyed Colorado mountain sunsets. Loved music and animals. Karla was a poet, enjoyed writing and sharing her poems.
Surviving are a brother Mike Cooper, sisters, Barbara Mattison(Dixie), Rebecca Nalley(Charles), Deborah Holley, Phyllis Rogers(Scott), and Billee Cooper, and special friends Deborah Evans (Mike) and Susie.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday June 14, 2014 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Jones and Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. The family will be at their respective homes.
