John W. “Jake” Davis
Ware Shoals – John Walter “Jake” Davis, 78, of 45 Green Acres Drive, husband of Carolyn Kay Davis, died Sunday at his home.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late John Broadus Davis and Ruby Laura Clamp Davis. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Church Brotherhood of Ware Shoals, the Ware Shoals Masonic Lodge and the Citco Breakfast Club.
Surviving are his wife of the home, 2 sons, Russell Davis and wife Jackie of Ware Shoals and Rodney Davis and wife Rhonda of Belton, grandchildren, Jason, Cara, Brianna and Hannah and great-grandchildren, Jadyn and Nolan.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Hans Wunch and Rev. Mark Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
