Henry Watson

Honea Path – Henry Donald Watson, 88, widower of Helen Ora Hill Watson, of 13 Poplar St, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of the late Grady and Annie Fisher Watson. He was a member of Honea Path Presbyterian Church and a US Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Watson was also a member of Hejaz Shrine Temple and Hiram Lodge #68 A.F.M. He was retired from Springfield Inc.

Surviving are: four daughters, Diane Watson of Honea Path, Connie (Joe) Granger of Clemson, Donna Bannister of Belton, and Debbie (Blake) Foster of Anderson, two sisters, Betty Sue (Billy) Elrod of Anderson and Joyce (Bill) Stamps of Iva, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Cyrptside services with military honors and Masonic rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Deborah Broadwell officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends 6 – 7:30 Thursday evening at Pruitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Richard M.
