Perry "Droop" Elgin

Belton – Perry “Droop” Milford Elgin, 64, husband of Peggy Eaton Elgin, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Laura Smith Elgin and the late John Elgin. He was a member of Mt Bethel Baptist Church and retired from National Refrigeration. Mr. Elgin enjoyed woodworking, fishing, NASCAR and gardening.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home are: his son, Jerry (Mandy) Elgin of Anderson, his daughter, Laura (Joe) Campbell of Belton, two grandchildren, Hayley (T.J.) Jennings of Belton and Koby Elgin of Honea Path, three great-grandchildren, Cayden, Rileigh, and Brentlee Jennings, and a niece, Danielle Rentz of Belton.

Gravside services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Mt Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Colloms and Rev. Ricky Rice officiating.

The family is at the home of his daughter, 160 Robinson Rd, Belton, and will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
