Born in AndersonCounty, she was a daughter of the late Robert Harold and Lois Gambrell Kay. She was a member of the HoneaPathFirstBaptistChurch. She was a graduate of AndersonCollege and was retired from Anderson District #2 Schools.
Surviving are a son, John L. “Pete” Griffin, Jr. and wife Reeta of Anderson, a daughter, Kay Griffin Riley and husband Rick of Lexington, and three grandchildren, Thomas Griffin, Michael Griffin and Jessie Riley. She was pre-deceased by a sister Margaret McClain.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family will be at their respective homes.
