Ed Moore

Ware Shoals – Edward “Ed” Moore, 96, husband of Lucile “Bill” Shaw Moore, of 127 South Greenwood Ave., died Thursday at Hospice of the Piedmont.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late J. Robert and Annie Powell Moore. He attended Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a former member of Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, World War II and was retired of Riegel Textile Co.

Surviving are his wife of 74 years of the home, a son, Donnie Moore (Martha) of Greenwood, a daughter, Billy Jean Crawford (Herman) of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, Todd Moore of Greenville, Kimberly Staples (Todd) of Concord, N.C., Craig Crawford (Cyndee) of Ware Shoals, Kristi Webb (Chris) of Ware shoals, and Kerri Pratt (Joshua) of Ware Shoals, six great-grandchildren, Sam Staples, Levi and Benjamin Webb, Kella and Karolyne Crawford, and Charlie Pratt. He was pre-deceased by a great-grandson, Saul Tiger Crawford.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Phillips and Rev. Todd Staples officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
