Sue Culbertson Tinney

Ware Shoals – Sue Juanita Culbertson Tinney, 68, widow of James F. Tinney, of 7752 Indian Mound Road, died Friday, December 4, 2015 at her home.

Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late James Wyatt and Lois Bradshaw Culbertson. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served as musician. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and the Greenwood College of Commerce. She was retired after 38 years from The Palmetto Bank where she served as Assistant Vice President/ Branch Manager at the Church Street Branch. She served on the Board of the Ware Shoals High School Alumni Association and the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are a son, Curtis Todd Traynham of the home, a brother, William Andrew Culbertson (Martha) of Greenwood, a sister, Judy Culbertson Mattison of Waterloo, four nephews, Jimmy Mattison, Travis Mattison, Will Culbertson, and Sherman Culbertson, a niece, Anna C Crockett (Mike), a great nephew, Travis Reid Mattison, and her very special friend, Bill Pearson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Mt Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Hellams, Rev. Tom Riddle, and Mr. Tom Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
