Marshall “Mot” Hall

Donalds – John Marshall “Mot” Hall, 82, husband of Doris Green Hall, of 6561 Highway 252, died Thursday at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Olin and Mamie Crawford Hall. He was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War, a former Abbeville County Councilman and a former director of the Broadmouth-Turkey Creek Fire Department. He was also a farmer and a member of the Abbeville Cattleman’s Association.

Surviving are his wife of the home, two sons, Keith Hall (Mandy) of Honea Path and Duanne Hall (Donna) of Donalds, two daughters, Nell Yoakum of Donalds and Regina Hendrix (Gene) of Anderson, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Muriel Alewine.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Shane Elrod and Rev. Sherrill Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
