Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late David Cooley and Bertie Fields Cooley Coursey. He was twice married, first to the late Helen Ridge Cooley. He was a member and deacon of Broadmouth Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter.
He was the last member of his immediate family and is survived by his wife of the home and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Gilbert Cooley and two sisters, Euzelia Fields and Margie Cooley.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Broadmouth Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Phillips and Rev. Eddy Mattison officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
