Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late Willis ‘Buzz” Elmore and Margaret Bagwell Sawyer. He was a member of Austin Rd Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Torrington.
Surviving are: a daughter, Tiffany Sawyer of NC, two sisters, Gail Ficklin of Belton, and Gerry Sawyer of Donalds, and one grandchild. He was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Chadwick.
A visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Pruitt Funeral Home.
