Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Roy and Mamie Mae Burns Ledford. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed mechanic. He was a former member of the Anderson Area CB Club.
Surviving are three sons, Johnny Ledford of Pelzer, Ray Ledford and Timmy Martin, both of Belton; two daughters, Annette (Jim) Seawright of Anderson and Cissy Strickland of Belton; a brother, Bobby Ledford of Iva; a sister, Lib Laurier of Greenville, and many special grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty White and Zelphia Wicker.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Anderson Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
