Betty Jean Brock

Honea Path – Betty Jean Brock, 82, of 400 Sirrine St., died Friday, April 8, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Annie Elizabeth Bannister Brock. She attended Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from Metrix Shirt Plant. Betty dearly loved her dog Tinkerbell and loved to cook and sew.

Surviving are: two daughters, Diane Hicks (James Vanhouter) of Honea Path and Marlene Carnahan (Gene Finley) of Pelzer, two sisters, Ruth Burton of Anderson and Lois (Willie) Brock of Belton, two grandchildren, Anita Hicks, with whom she made her home and was her caregiver, and Tanya (Craig) Langley, and two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Landan Langley. She was predeceased by her brother, Wallace Brock, two sisters, Hazel Ballard and Janie Avalene Wilson, and two grandchildren, Nic Carnahan and James Parker.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at Mt Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Shane Elrod and Rev. Jimmy Ray Brock officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the services at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Betty Jean Brock Fund, PO Box 266, Honea Path, SC 29654. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
