Mrs. Hamby was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School. She retired from Singer/Ryobi in Anderson.

Mrs. Hamby is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Green and her husband Andy of Greer, Katrina Sanders and her husband Phillip of Surfside Beach and Kelly Drennen and her husband Jeff of Surfside Beach; two sons, Wally Haynie Hamby Jr. of Camden and Brandon Reeves of Antreville; one step-daughter, Joy Hamby Stone of Townville; 14 grandchildren, Summer Brock and her husband Cody, Amanda Clark and her husband Russell, Rodney Rogers, Allanta Reeves, Brandi Reeves, Colton Reeves, Hunter Sanders, Tyler Sanders, Corbin Sanders, Brandon Hamby, Anissa Hamby and Kayla Hamby; a special great grand-daughter, Emma Grace Reeves; a great-grandson on the way, Nolan Ray Brock and eight other great-grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Bolt of California; one sister, Linda Howell of Anderson; a special brother-in-law, Mike Hamby and his wife Cissy of Seneca; a special sister-in-law, Norma Hamby of San Antonio, TX and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home in Honea Path, SC. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories in Belton, SC.

The family is at the home of a grand-daughter, Summer Brock and her husband Cody of 11501 Belton-Honea Path Hwy in Honea Path, SC.
