Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late James Claude, Sr., and Janice Jennings Jones. He was of the Baptist faith and employed at Culp Woven Velvets. Jimmy loved cars and was a racing enthusiast.
Surviving are: his son, Mike (Marti) Jones of Anderson, two daughters, Angie (Bobby) Strickland and Jamie Tucker, both of Belton, three sisters, Debra Forrester of Anderson, Peggy (Chuck) Autry of Williamston, and Tami Pinson of AZ, and five grandchildren, Brittany Strickland, Natalie Tucker, Harley Tucker, Zackary Jones and Summey Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper and Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
