Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of Irene Hunicutt Vaughn and the late M.D. Vaughn. She was a member of Reedy Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and formerly employed at Clendenin Lumber Co.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 31 years of the home and her mother of Toccoa GA are: her son, Trevor Gaines of the home, her daughter, Kayla Gaines of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Randy (Keisha) Vaughn of Ware Shoals and Tracy Vaughn of Westminster, two sisters, Renee Vaughn of Toccoa GA and Vicki (Kenny Ray Hilliard) Vaughn of Waterloo, three grandchildren, Kyler, Kailey and Bryer Scarborough, several nieces and nephews, and her step-mother, Carolyn Vaughn of Ware Shoals.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cecil and Ida Hunicutt, and two brothers, Michael and Jamie Vaughn.
Memorial services will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Reedy Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Tommy Wooten officiating.
