Born in Mountville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Stokes and Willie Mae Edmonds Martin. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was a retired teacher from Faith Christian School of Laurens.
Surviving are three daughters, Lori Blackwell, Lynn Blackwell, and Lisa Blackwell, all of the home. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Dorothy Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Enoch Wilson and Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
