Earl Madden

Ware Shoals – Melvin Earl Madden, 76, husband of Brenda Faye Madden, of 622 Free Bridge Road, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home.

 

Born in Laurens County on June 13, 1941, he was a son of the late Roy and Ellaree Kirkland Madden. He was a member of Kings Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from the Saluda County Stockyard.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 55 years of the home are: two brothers, Joe (Vicki) Madden of Hickory Tavern, and Steve Madden of Travelers Rest, four sisters, Lois (Doye) Young of Travelers Rest, Alice (Bobby) Smith of Belton, Brenda Yearwood and Margie Williams, both of Powdersville, seven special nieces and nephews, Shelly Gaines of Ware Shoals, Misty Gaines of Greenwood, Angel Hughes, Andrew Gaines, and Anthony Gaines, all of Honea Path, Lester Madden, Jr., of Griffin GA, and Jamie Madden of Ware Shoals, special sister-in-law, Pat Gaines of Ware Shoals, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Madden, and a special nephew, Chris Gaines.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
