Born in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late William David and Rena Isabella Jones Belcher. He was a retired salesman from several companies including International Harvester. He was an avid golfer and loved all of his family and friends. He was also a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by one son, Mike Belcher of Ware Shoals, a granddaughter, Joyce Montalvo, a grandson, Timothy Sheperd and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Gary Edward Belcher, a daughter, Donna Lynn Belcher Sheperd and a brother, William David Belcher Jr.
Graveside services will be held Saturday December 16, 2017 in the mausoleum chapel at Dorchester Memory Garden in Summerville, SC at 1 PM with Rev. John Scott officiating. He will be entombed following the service.
