Born in Elbert County, GA she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Bonnie Sue Morgan Kay. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Jewel Shirley Sunday School Class, former member of the Baptism Committee, and the WMU Circle #7. She was a member of the Dogwood Garden Club and has served 20 years with Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are her husband of the home, a son, David Drake of McCormick, a daughter, Cheryl Drake Owen (Chris) of West Columbia, a sister, Carolyn Kay Davis of Ware Shoals, and a granddaughter, Sara Beth Owen of Greenwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
