Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Robert V. and Marie Davis Ridgeway. She was a member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church where she was active in the choir and the Love Sunday School Class. She was Past Worthy Matron of the Boyd Bobo Chapter #144, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Greenwood College of Commerce and was an accountant for Riegel Textile Co. She loved to travel including many beach trips, Switzerland, Canada, the Amish area of Ohio, California, and the Grand Canyon.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne Smith of Honea Path, Andy Smith of Brooksville, FL, and a daughter Cynthia Myers (Skip) of Dillon, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, Furman, Harold, Larry, and Ed Ridgeway, and three sisters, Carrie Belle Johnson, Doris Ridgeway, and Anne Ridge.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January  20, 2018 at Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Ga.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday  at the church prior to the service.
